Lettings During Lockdown

As a landlord, our priority is to maintain the welfare of our tenants and provide essential services at this difficult time.

Current guidance tells us to stay at home, and most of our services are disrupted.

We can continue to allocate properties as home moves will carry on unless the Scottish Government guidance changes or staffing levels are severely affected. To prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have decided to suspend Mutual Exchanges at this time.

We will continue to advertise and allocate properties through the Homefinder website.

During the coronavirus pandemic, customer and staff safety continues to be our top priority. To follow the Scottish Government guidelines during the allocation and letting process, we are using safety measures as follows:

  • If your bid for a property is successful, we will be as flexible as we can be in agreeing a move in date with you that takes account of your individual circumstances.
  • ‘Face to face’ lets are still happening but with social distancing and face covering.
  • A ‘contactless’ letting process is in place and it includes communication by phone or online and using photos.
  • Correspondence with housing applicants is by email, so if you are applying for our or another social landlord’s property, we strongly encourage you to ensure that your contact details are kept up to date on your application.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will update the website to reflect any changes arising from the level that we are in.
