Angus HomeFinder – Do You Need Help to Apply or Bid?

Angus HomeFinder is our online system that allows people to apply for housing and search and bid on properties advertised by Angus Council, Hillcrest Homes, Caledonia Housing Association and Blackwood Homes.

We understand that for some people, applying for housing or making bids online can cause difficulties or is not possible. Here are some ways to help you overcome any difficulties you may be experiencing.

Support for applicants

If you have family or friends who can help you apply for a home or bid for you, you can nominate them to deal with your application or place bids on your behalf. Before providing information about another person on your application for housing, you must have their permission to do so.

If you are unable to get online, you can use a PC in one of our libraries. If you need support to complete an application, a staff member in the library can help you. Library staff can also support with the following enquiries:

  • Change of Circumstances / Application Reviews
  • Scanning or uploading additional documents
  • Advising on the bidding process / logging in to your account / resetting account passwords

You can get telephone support by contacting ACCESSLine on 03452 777 778 and asking for the Angus HomeFinder Team.

If these options are unsuitable, please speak to the Angus Homefinder team for further assistance. We will always find a way to help you apply for a home and can, in certain circumstances provide a paper application for you to complete.

Bidding

If you have difficulties searching or bidding on properties online, we can change your application, so bids are automatically placed on your behalf by the system. This is called Autobid.

If you need further information about Autobid, please contact your Housing Officer or the Angus HomeFinder Team by contacting ACCESSLine on 03452 777 778.
