House Exchange can help you find your place
House Exchange is a quick and easy way for tenants* to find potential home swappers.
After registration with the website, tenants can search online for local, regional and national exchanges. The service is free for Angus Council tenants. Neighbouring councils and most social landlords are partners with House Exchange, so that gives more choice to you to find home swaps both in Angus and beyond.
How to use the website –
- Visit http://www.houseexchange.org.uk, choose your landlord from the drop down list and register your details online. To join in you can also sign up with House Exchange Facebook.
- Once you have registered, your details will be approved and House Exchange will send you your login details by email or post. Your property will then appear in our database and you can search for potential exchanges on the website.
- When you have found someone to swap your home with, contact your landlord and they will take you through the procedures needed to complete your exchange.
To search for properties you can use House Exchange new App. The App lets you see your matches and lets you contact other home swappers.
*Please note, to participate you need to rent your home from a social landlord (the Council or a Housing Association), and all exchanges are subject to approval by the landlord.
